Michèle Plichta

Senior Researcher

Michèle is part of the Centre's evidence team, where she delves into researching past and current crisis responses to support the organisation’s mission of enhancing disaster protection.

She co-authors the Centre’s flagship report on the state of pre-arranged financing, leading the in-depth analysis of international development financing data. More broadly, she contributes to building a robust evidence base around disaster risk financing, promoting continuous learning within the organisation and the sector.

Before joining the Centre, Michèle worked in the NGO sector, where she was involved in project planning and monitoring across low- and middle-income countries.

Michèle holds an MSc in Economics from KU Leuven and an MSc in African Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
