Media and PR consultancy
The Centre for Disaster Protection seeks an experienced agency or consultant to strengthen its media engagement and brand awareness. Starting in February 2025 for 12 months (with potential extensions), the partner will develop a comprehensive media strategy, build journalist relationships, secure coverage, and ensure the Centre’s thought leadership and initiatives gain visibility in relevant media. Primary responsibilities include designing PR campaigns, delivering media training, managing press materials and interviews, and providing actionable monitoring and analysis. Strong global media outreach experience, editorial relationships, and strategic insight required.

Strategy development consultancy
The Centre for Disaster Protection seeks an experienced consultant or agency to support the development of its next 5-year strategy and workplan (2025–2029). Starting in January 2025, the partner will facilitate reflective workshops, engage teams in strategic discussions, and guide the creation of outcome-based goals and actionable programmes. The consultancy will involve developing a draft strategy document and framework for the workplan while ensuring alignment with the Centre’s mission, values, and impact objectives. Key deliverables include facilitating an all-team retreat and securing Board approval of the final strategy and workplan by June 2025.
Proven expertise in strategic planning, workshop facilitation, and integrating DEI principles is essential, along with experience in global policy and outcome-based frameworks.

Lead Risk Financing Advisor
The Centre for Disaster Protection seeks a Lead Risk Financing Advisor to provide advice, quality assurance and training to country governments, as well as wider international development and humanitarian organisations and donors to improve disaster risk management and financing.
The candidate is expected to contribute to the design and lead the delivery of high-quality technical advisory and analysis on disaster risk analysis and financing, and relevant thematic areas, including social protection.
